Important Considerations for Anyone Purchasing Prints from Vintage Photographs or Snapshots such as those
found in 1000WordsPrints.com: The use of digital technology to access vintage images, most of which, in the case of the Galleries
of 1000WordsPrints.com, were not professionally taken over the last 120 years, offers significant opportunities for consumers who choose
to access images from the past without losing the character of the era and technology of its consumer genesis. To that end, it
must be stated that vintage amateur photography taken many years ago will have imperfections to today's eyes. If perfection is a
primary consideration over content or historical value, then Our Prints Are Not For You!
In that case, shoppers would be encouraged to peruse the site, but if they are not comfortable with the
imperfections of non-automatic (manual) film photography that has also had ample opportunity to age in non-archival conditions,
they might not be satisfied with the resulting print quality. As such, they should enjoy looking through the Galleries but should
not purchase prints from 1000WordsPrints.com because they would likely be dissatisfied with the final product.
Considering it another way: Some people enjoy hearing the original recordings of musical numbers on LPs
and still operate turntables to hear just that sound complete with an occasional etching sound as the needle lifts or lands on the
vinyl. Those whose ears are primarily accustomed to standards of CD listening may not be able to tolerate listening to musical numbers
from LPs on a turntable. We present this as an analogy that may be helpful in making your decision of whether or not a print from an original vintage
photograph is truly something that is right for you.
We hope that it is! Come take a look at images that keep speaking to us in Our Galleries!
